UK HAS FOUND ITS FIRST CASE OF A NEW DELTACRON VARIANT

A Hybrid of Omicron and Delta strain called Deltacron could be on its way. Health officials in the UK have found a patient diagnosed with both Delta & Omicron variants. As of yet, it is still very early stages as to whether Deltacron was imported or has originated in Britain according to the UK Health security agency.

Initially, Deltacron was first reported from Cyprus in the month of January 2022 but it was later dismissed.  Over the last 2 years, several variants have been detected during the pandemic, but they have not led to any serious outbreaks thankfully.

As for now, the authorities have not elaborated too much about this new variant, how infectious it is, and what are symptoms we should be looking out for. The Delta variant drove the lethal second flood of contamination in India and Omicron is answerable for the third wave. But due to a drop in cases these days, experts say this new variant is not going to be as bad as the old ones.

Remember to get yourself tested with a lateral flow test or you can book a PCR test from Point 19 Testing to avoid any doubts. Search for a PCR testing center near you by typing PCR test in Bolton, PCR test in Bury, PCR test in Manchester, PCR test in Oldham.

The researcher in Cyprus who found this variant has asserted that he found 25 cases of this new Deltacron variant. On January 7th, 2022, the successions of the 25 Deltacron cases were shipped off GISAID, a worldwide data set that tracks infection changes. However, this research was not the much-needed attention and it got dismissed as a lab error. THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) has also called Deltacron “not really a thing” so we are not sure about what really to do about this new variant.
