COVID-19 tests are no longer going to be free for the public in the UNITED KINGDOM. The Government of the UK made this announcement to remove public testing as a part of their ‘living with Covid-19’ plan. The number of cases in the UK has risen to 4.9 million with 700,000 recorded in the past week, (1st April 2022) which makes everyone wonder if this is the right time for this decision. Some groups will still be able to receive free tests including aged care residents and those at high risk of severe infection.
